Actuarial Science Program at MTSU
Welcome to Middle Tennessee State University’s Actuarial Science Program!
Middle Tennessee State University offers an outstanding and comprehensive program in actuarial science. MTSU’s Actuarial Science program is nationally and internationally recognized for its excellence. We are proud to be designated as a Center of Actuarial Excellence (CAE) by the Society of Actuaries (SOA), a distinction held by only 43 universities worldwide, including just 23 in the United States (as of July 2025). In addition, we are recognized as a Gold Level University Program by the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), a designation awarded to only 17 programs worldwide. These prestigious recognitions highlight the quality of our curriculum, faculty expertise, strong industry connections, and the outstanding career outcomes of our graduates.
We offer a range of programs for undergraduate and graduate studies in actuarial science. Our students receive cutting-edge training and learning experience to become qualified actuaries. Many pass at least two professional actuarial exams, while some complete all requirements to become associates of two actuarial societies even before graduation. We invite you to contact us, learn about our program, and join us in your success story!
